TERI retains top spot amongst climate change think tanks in developing nations


New Delhi, June 26 (IANS): The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) has retained its top position as the most influential institution in the field of climate change, economics and policy in developing nations, it was announced on Friday.

The absolute ranking which measures the best think tanks in absolute terms, regardless of their efficiency and hence size were announced by the International Center for Climate Governance.

Leena Srivastava, acting director-general, TERIA aid: "This is a recognition of our research contributions to finding mitigation, adaptation and resilience building solutions - locally, nationally and globally - as also our active participation in various advocacy forums."

According to TERI, the institutes were evaluated on the three pillars - activities, publications and dissemination.

TERI is ranked 12th globally amongst climate change think tanks.
