Adidas gifts 'Made in India' training gear to Modi

New Delhi, June 20 (IANS): German sportswear major adidas has designed personalised training gear for Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of International Yoga Day. And it even has his initials printed on one side.

The set was developed with the brand's revolutionary cooling technology - CLIMACOOL® - with every product in the set being 'Made in India'.

Dave Thomas, managing director, adidas Group India, has sent out the personalised gear to Modi as a token of appreciation for leading a global change of a healthy lifestyle.

“We live and breathe sport at adidas, it is part of our DNA, so encouraging a fit and healthy lifestyle comes naturally to us. As the sensation of International Yoga Day spread across the world, we were equally energised to hear about Prime Minister Modi’s initiative.

“In the spirit of what is set to be an iconic day, we created this custom-made gear to showcase our support and appreciation. We are confident that International Yoga Day will see increasing participation in the years to come and hope that this day multiplies into months, years and eventually a lifestyle for citizens in India and around the world,” Thomas said in a statement.

According to a spokesperson of the brand, the training gear was delivered to the Prime Minister's residence on Friday.
