Shaan to celebrate Father's Day in Croatia

Mumbai, June 19 (IANS): On the occasion of Father's Day (June 21), singer Shaan will be travelling to Croatia with his family to take some time off from his hectic shooting schedule of singing reality show “The Voice India”.

The 42-year-old, who was touring the US last month, is anxiously waiting for the surprise his sons Soham and Shubh will give to him there and is looking forward to spending the holiday with his wife Radhika Mukherjee.

"It's a wonderful occasion for all fathers to sit back and feel pampered by their children and I'm going to make the most of it. I miss my dad a lot and wish I could do the same for him, but I lost him pretty early in life,” Shaan said in a statement.

“Nonetheless, I, as a father, am feeling very thrilled that both my boys now are of that age where they are going to arrange some wonderful surprise for me with a little help from their mother.

“I have taken an off from the busy schedule of 'The Voice India' and on June 21, me and my family are going to be on this beautiful island. I am very excited and look forward to celebrating the day with my family." he added.

On the Indian version of the internationally acclaimed reality show “The Voice”, Shaan appears as a coach along with Himesh Reshammiya, Sunidhi Chauhan and Mika Singh.

Shooting not a headache for Shilpa Shinde

Actress Shilpa Shinde, who plays diligent homemaker Angoori in TV show “Bhabhiji Ghar Pe Hai?” is quite similar to her onscreen avatar in real life. She suffered a terrible migraine attack in between shoots, but decided to continue working.

Shilpa shrugged away the pain and didn't take any time off the shoot in order to complete her schedule.

“I do get these migraine attacks once in a while and they can be quite debilitating. But, there's a schedule to finish so one can't afford to rest it out. In a way, the shoots are also a good distraction because once I'm in front of the camera, I try not to pay heed to the headache,” Shilpa said in a statement.

Shilpa has previously appeared in shows like “Sanjeevani - A Medical Boon”, “Meher”, “Bhabhi” “Hatim" and “Lapataganj”.
