iBall launches mSLR Cobalt4 with 4 detachable lenses


Mumbai/New Delhi, June 15 (IANS): iBall on MOnday launched its Cobalt series of smartphones with the launch of mSLR Cobalt 4 at a price of Rs.8,499.

iBall has set the unique selling proposition by providing a camera which can support four detachable lenses that comes bundled along with the phone, an industry first in India.

"With mSLR Cobalt4 consumers shall be mesmerised with the smartphone's camera that comes with detachable lenses. The multiple options of the lens will enable the user to snap great pictures and change the way photographs are captured on smartphones," said iBall director Sandeep Parasrampuria

The lenses included in the bundle are a lens with 8x zoom, a fisheye lens with a 175-180 degree viewing angle, a macro lens with 10x magnification and minimum object distance of 10-15mm, and a wide-angle lens with a 130-degree viewing angle.

The smartphone will be powered by an octa-core processor and will run on Android KitKat operating system. The device will ship with a 5-inches IPS qHD display powered by a 2,000mAh battery and will support 15 regional languages.

While the rear camera onboard will be a 8MP shooter with dual-LED flash and autofocus, the 3.2MP front-facing shooter will come with a soft LED flash for selfies. The built-in 8GB of internal memory is further expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. Connectivity options will include dual-SIM with dual standby, 3G, Wi-Fi,USB on the go, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and HotKnot.
