12 suspected Maoists shot dead in a police encounter in Jharkhand


June 9,  agencies: Twelve suspected Maoists were reportedly shot dead in a police encounter in Jharkhand's Palamu district in the wee hours today.

The Maoists were traveling via a road close to the Satbarwa police station in a Mahendra Scorpio, as per a NDTV report.

On receiving the information about the Maoists, police rushed to the spot and confronted them by firing at them.

The armed men in the vehicle fired back at the police and a gun battle between the suspected Maoists and police took place in the wee hours.

Police recovered rifles and AK 47s from the vehicle.

    Some Chief Ministers are being Man enough to shoulder anti-terrorism agenda fearlessly, whereas some Chief ministers release 1600 terrorists for appeasing one community!
