Nasscom to open start-up warehouse in Kochi

Kochi, June 5 (IANS): The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) on Friday said it had entered into a strategic partnership with the Kerala government to open a start-up warehouse in Kochi supported by TBI Technopark.

The announcement came at the second edition of the NASSCOM Product Conclave being held here.

The startup warehouse has been introduced by NASSCOM to create a micro-ecosystem where early stage startup founders can work together, share their learnings and best practices with each other.

The conclave serves as a platform for emerging product companies to access knowledge and support available in the ecosystem.

The conclave is a platform for global and Indian product industry, serial entrepreneurs, CIOs, investors, customers, VCs, angel investors, incubators, government officials and industry thought leaders to participate, deliberate and actively engage with actionable insights for the product arena.

NSCCOM vice president Rajiv Vaishnav said that the Indian products industry has developed exponentially over the years owing to increased accessibility to factors like technology, people and opportunity.

"Kochi is rapidly evolving as the hub for Indian start-ups and NASSCOM is confident that the city has the ability to create great advances to support the product start-ups ecosystem as well. Our focus with this will be to create opportunities for innovative product companies to showcase and promote their products," he said.
