    Joke!
From the time that AIRINDIA was snatched from the hands of TATAS..
Air India is chaos: Bindaas. who cares..govt: who can sack us ..we have Union to support us..?was the attitude..
Every staff by and large has been conduits as they have hand in glove with customs.so smuggling was like part of life and business as usual.

    This will answer the questions..
    Smuggling was their main business.
as they are immune to customs check.and they are hand in Glove NEXUS.
This is the time to close lock stock and barrel and hand over this back to the TATS for professional management...
Govt has no business to stay in business.
There are more daunting tasks and Governance to do than look after AIRINDIA .AND GUYS LIKE PRAFUL PATEL AND CO..

time for DULAI or Swatcha Bharath..
time for citizens to come out join kejriwal like AAP movement to keep control on individuals who LOOT..CHEAT ..CORRUPT..Simply LYNCH them in public.

Wrong place to smuggle the gold.. even though knows very well harsh punishment is apply.

For small profit utilising service provided to them. Will also sack from the job immediately.

Difficult now a days to obtain job in airlines even to licensed pilot.
If given all facilities why go for small benefit.
