Assam CM seeks report on Maggi


Guwahati, June 3 (IANS): Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Wednesday sought a report from the health department about allegations of harmful material in popular snack Maggi noodles.

In a statement issued here, the chief minister said his government might consider restrictions on the snack after receiving the report from the health department.

The Food Standard Authority under the health department on Wednesday collected 35 samples of Maggi noodles from different places across the state for testing.
