Police officer attacked over Bhindrawale poster


Jammu, June 3 (IANS): A police officer was attacked with a knife by a youth here in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday when police were removing posters of late Sikh militant leader Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Arun Kumar was attacked in Jammu city's Satwari area. The official was removed to a hospital where he was declared out of danger, a police officer told IANS.

A hunt has been launched to nab the culprit, the officer added.
