Videocon's mobile phones arm launches new tablet


Hyderabad/New Delhi, June 2 (IANS): Videocon's mobile phones arm launched a new budget tablet (7 inches) for the Indian market priced at Rs.4,900.

The VA81M tablet comes with a 1.3GHz dual core processor alongside a 512MB RAM and 4GB internal memory (expandable up to 32GB).

It supports Bluetooth, 3G, Wi-Fi and has a 2MP rear camera. The front camera is VGA. The device comes with dual SIM support and voice calling feature along with GPS.

At the launch function Jerold Pereira, the chief executive officer of Videocon Mobile Phones, said: "As on-the-go connectivity is driving the fast and smart interactivity, we aim to cater to the needs of hyperactive consumers with the launch of the VA81M tablet."

"The tablet is the new addition to our innovative portfolio of affordable and rich-featured devices.

"Going apt with the consumers' demand of large screen and hot features, the Videocon VA81M tab offers a flawless gaming and multimedia experience to enable an engaging user experience," he added.
