Prince William returns to work as paternity leave ends

London, Jun 2 (IANS/EFE): Prince William, second in line of succession to the British throne, returned to work after the end of his unpaid paternity leave, which he took after the birth of his daughter Princess Charlotte, a media report said.

He resumed his work as an air ambulance pilot on Monday.

The Duke of Cambridge began his paternity leave in late April, before his wife, Duchess Kate Middleton, gave birth on May 2 to Charlotte, the younger sister of Prince George, who will turn two years old next July 22.

Prince George is the third in line of succession to the throne, while his baby sister, Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, comes fourth in line.

Since Charlotte was born, Prince William has attended several official events, among them the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday when Arsenal beat Aston Villa 4-0.
