Amit Mitra, Dev to accompany Mamata on London trip


Kolkata, June 1 (IANS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday said state Finance Minister Amit Mitra and film-actor turned politician Dev will accompany her on her visit to London, scheduled for July.

"Amit Mitra will come along with me on the London tour," she told media persons here on the sidelines of an event.

Besides, Trinamool Congress MP Derek O'Brien and Deepak Adhikary alias Dev will be part of the offical delegation, she said.

Chief Secretary Sanjay Mitra and Kolkata Mayor Sovan Chatterjee will also accompany the chief minister.

Banerjee is undertaking the trip at the invitation of the British government.

Asked if any of the businessmen from the state will accompany her, she said: "They may be part of an unofficial delegation."
