Mantra loves percussion instruments

Mumbai, June 1 (IANS): Actor-comedian Mantra, who plays the role of Narad Muni in the show "Narayan Narayan Chulbule Narad Ki Natkhat Leelayen", says he loves percussion instruments which is why he started learning to play the tabla from a teacher in Baroda where he is shooting for the show.

The actor somehow managed to take out some time from his busy shooting schedule to learn playing the tabla.

"I love playing percussion instruments as it comes naturally to me. Although I enjoy playing the basic dhol, I always wanted to learn tabla. Now that I am parked in Baroda for more than half a month, I thought of pursuing my passion and found a tabla teacher who comes and trains me," Mantra said in a statement.

Mantra is so caught up with shooting for the show that he seldom finds time to change and practices the instrument in his Narad Muni costume and makeup.

The show's storyline will be centred on the life of Narad from his point of view, along with highlighting his bittersweet relationship with lord Vishnu, played by actor Ujjwal Rana.

"Narayan Narayan Chulbule Naarad Ki Natkhat Leelayen" airs on BIG MAGIC.
