New Delhi, May 30 (IANS): Now shop from local stores in your vicinity via messages, courtesy Lookup LITE.

Messaging app Lookup has introduced its SMS and WhatsApp version Lookup LITE, which helps users to chat with local stores in their vicinity and also with the its team of experts, that will be available to assist them in their purchase decisions.

The app, which besides being free and secure, connects shoppers with local businesses.

“Our endeavour is to become the 'Google' for offline shopping. We are hyperlinking the stores near you so that you can connect with them directly and exchange information and buy products.

"A quick message to us, and voila, they will know exactly where to head to fulfill their desires. With Lookup, India can finally say hello to a new and revolutionised way of local shopping,” Deepak Ravindran, founder and CEO, Lookup, said in a statement.

The user just needs to take a photograph and send it to the Lookup number, and the team will do the scanning and researching across nearby stores.

The Lookup number is 9773997739. It is in partnership with national retailers like Sangeetha Mobile and UniverCell, as well as high-end fashion stores such as Zara and Tommy Hilfiger.
