Bharat Electronics net up 25 percent in 2014-15


Bengaluru, May 30 (IANS): State-run Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) posted net profit of Rs.1,167 crore for 2014-15, registering 25 percent growth over Rs.932 crore in 2013-14.

In a regulatory filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Friday, the city-based defence behemoth said total income grew 9.2 percent to Rs.7,321 crore for the fiscal from Rs.6,704 crore in 2103-14.

Similarly, consolidated net profit grew 25.8 percent to Rs.1,197 crore from Rs.951 crore in 2013-14 and total income 9.2 percent to Rs7,599 crore from Rs.6,955 crore year ago.

For fourth quarter of the fiscal, though net profit increased 9 percent to Rs.723 crore from Rs.663 crore in same period year ago, total income declined 5.2 percent to Rs.3,067 crore in Q4 from Rs.3,236 crore in like period year ago.
