Multimedia exhibition on Modi government's achievements

New Delhi, May 25 (IANS): Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Arun Jaitley on Monday inaugurated a multimedia exhibition 'Saal Ek Shuruaat Anek' here, aimed at showcasing the achievements and policy initiatives of the BJP-led NDA government in the last one year.

Speaking on the occasion, Jaitley said that the exhibition was an attempt to showcase these achievements and initiatives and sensitise the people about the initiatives of the government across different critical sectors.

"As part of the outreach initiative, the Information and Broadcasting Ministry will highlight the said initiatives across the state capitals and rural areas. This exercise is being undertaken in view of a focused approach in disseminating information through different media units," a statement issued here quoted the minister as saying.

Jaitley said that similar exhibitions would be held in all state capitals apart from one additional city/site in each state, except Bengaluru that will be covered in the second phase as a model code of conduct is in place before local body elections there.

The exhibition in the state capitals would commence on Tuesday and end on June 1.
