J.K. Cement's January-March profit down by 8.6 percent


Kanpur, May 23 (IANS): J.K. Cement Ltd. on Saturday said its net profit for the last quarter of the fiscal year 2015 declined by 8.6 percent at Rs.69.84 crore against a profit of Rs.76.38 crore in the corresponding time period in 2014.

J.K. Cement Ltd. is an affiliate of industrial conglomerate J.K. Organisation.

From January to March 2015, its net income from operations surged by 10 percent at Rs. 916.05 crore compared to Rs.832.71 crore in the last quarter of the fiscal year 2013-14.

The company's net standalone profit from April 2014 to March 2015 rose by a whopping 61.73 percent at Rs.156.92 crore compared to Rs.97.02 crore during 2013-14.

In the fiscal year 2015, standalone revenue was registered at Rs.3,348.59 crore -- up by nearly 20 percent compared to earnings of Rs.2,795.84 crore during 2013-14.
