Rolta India's net profit at Rs.245.17 crore during 2014-15


Mumbai, May 23 (IANS): Technology firm Rolta India Ltd. on Saturday said its net consolidated profit during the fiscal year 2015 rose to Rs.245.17 crore against a loss of Rs.762.25 crore during 2013-14.

During 2013-14, even though the company managed to keep its profit at Rs.285.73 crore, a loss of Rs.1,153.68 crore, under exceptional item as deprecation due to change in estimates, had brought its net profits down.

Its net revenues during April 2014 to March 2015 rose by 18.2 percent at Rs.3,679.46 crore against Rs.3,113.92 crore during the corresponding time frame of the fiscal year 2013-14.

"Our strategy of transforming the Rolta business model into an IP-led one was strongly re-validated by our selection of the very large and prestigious BMS (battlefield management system) project of the Indian Army," K.K. Singh, the company's chairman and managing director, said in a statement.

The system integration and enterprise IT solutions continued to dominate its earnings which grew from Rs.2,231.21 crore in 2013-14 to Rs.2,695.79 crore in 2014-15.

The enterprise geospatial and engineering solution segment rose to Rs.9,83.67 crore in the fiscal year 2015 against Rs.8,82.71 crore during the 2013-14 fiscal period.

During the last quarter of the fiscal year 2015, the company's net profit declined by 53 percent at Rs.36.01 crore against Rs.76.56 crore during the corresponding time frame in the fiscal year 2014.

Its revenues also saw a decline by 2.1 percent from January-March 2015 at Rs.946.14 crore compared to Rs.966.75 crore in the same time frame in 2014.
