Chandigarh, May 23 (IANS): The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (HSIIDC) on Saturday allowed GAIL (India) to supply piped gas in the model industrial township of Bawal in Rewari district.
The 9.60 km piped line network will assure supply of gas which will be used for generation of power, Vineet Garg, HSIIDC managing director, said in a statement.
Developed by HSIIDC, Bawal is located on national highway 8, connecting New Delhi to Jaipur.
The industrial area houses units catering to the automobile sector, light engineering, machine tools, electronic components, medical equipment and textile sectors.
The area is presently providing employment to nearly 30,000 people, including skilled and unskilled workers.
