Timex income up 15 percent in 2014-15


New Delhi, May 21 (IANS): Timex Group India Ltd registered 15 percent growth in its total income for 2014-15 at Rs.142 crore against Rs.124 crore in 2013-14.

According to the city-based watch company's financial results for fiscal under review, net loss reduced by 67 percent to Rs.11 crore from Rs.33 crore.

Similarly, for the fourth quarter, total income increased 26 percent to Rs.34.5 crore from Rs.27.2 crore in Same period year ago, but was 20 percent less sequentially from Rs.43.2 crore posted in the third quarter.

In terms of bottomline, net loss was drastically reduced by 96 percent to Rs.11 lakh from Rs.2.71 crore in like period year ago and sequentially 93 percent from Rs.1.51 crore in Q3.

The company earned a record Rs.2.72 crore from other income for the fiscal, as against Rs.2 lakh in 2013-14.

Operating loss declined to Rs.10.23 crore from Rs.31.9 crore in the previous fiscal.

The loss-making company, however, made operating profit of Rs.52 lakh for Q4 as against operating loss of Rs.2.27 crore in like period year ago and Rs.79 lakh in Q3.
