India can learn from Singapore in urban management: PM

New Delhi, May 20 (IANS): India can benefit from Singapore's expertise in the fields of urban management, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday.

Modi, who met members of the India-Singapore Strategic Dialogue here, also sought Singapore's support in capacity-building in human resources for urban management.

A PMO release said that the members, led by co-chairman Tommy Koh, appreciated the union government's smart cities initiative.

"Interacting with the delegation, the prime minister said India would like to benefit from Singapore's expertise in the fields of urban management, urban development and urban administration. He also sought Singapore's support in capacity-building in human resources for urban management and urban administration," the release said.
