Relation between India and Cameroon will strengthen: President


New Delhi, May 19 (IANS): President Pranab Mukherjee has expressed confidence that bilateral relations between India and Cameroon "will further strengthen in the coming years".

In a message to President of Cameroon Paul Biya on the eve of the country's National Day (May 20), Mukherjee said the two countries enjoyed "warm and friendly relations", a statement said on Tuesday.

"I am confident that our bilateral relations will further strengthen in the coming years to the mutual benefit of our peoples," Mukherjee said.

"On behalf of the government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to convey to you, warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your National Day," he said.

"I take this opportunity to convey my good wishes for Your Excellency's health and well-being, as well as for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Cameroon," he added.
