When Reese Witherspoon met Sofia Vergara

Los Angeles, May 14 (IANS): Actress Reese Witherspoon says she wanted to be in the shoes of her "Hot Pursuit" co-star Sofia Vergara when they first met.

"Meeting Sofia Vergara for the first time is exactly what you'd expect. I met her in this hotel and I was waiting for her, and she came in and literally went into slow motion and her hair blew back like this.

"And every man in the entire hotel was like (stunned) and like one man passed out, and another man dropped all his bags and everyone was like, 'Is there anything I can do for you?' and I was like, 'Oh my God, this woman is a movie star.' And if I can't be her, I want to stand next to her. In a movie," she added.

Though the two actresses got along well while shooting the movie, the "Sweet Home Alabama" star said that she and her 42-year-old Colombian co-star often struggled to understand one another, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"Sometimes she's hard to understand. But that's kind of funny. But she says she can't understand me. I play this real country Texan girl, and I talk really fast like that, and she was like, 'I have no idea what you're saying, so you're gonna need to pronunciate'," Witherspoon told talk show host Conan O'Brien.
