Petrol prices hiked by Rs 3.96 a litre, diesel Rs 2.37

New Delhi, Apr 30 (PTI): After two rounds of cuts, petrol prices were today raised by Rs 3.96 per litre and diesel by Rs 2.37 a litre, tracking global cues. The increase in petrol and diesel prices will be effective from midnight tonight.

Prices of petrol in Delhi will be Rs 63.16 a litre from tomorrow as against the current Rs 59.20; while diesel will cost Rs 49.57 per litre as against Rs 47.20, Indian Oil Corp (IOC), the nation's largest oil company, said.

Rates were last cut by 80 paise per litre on petrol and Rs 1.30 a litre on diesel from April 16. This followed a reduction of 49 paisa a litre in the price of petrol and Rs 1.21 in diesel from April 2.

Petrol prices had been cumulatively cut by Rs 17.11 a litre in 10 reductions between August and February and diesel by Rs 12.96 a litre in 6 reductions between October and February. The rates were increased by 0.82 a litre in petrol and Rs 0.61 per litre in diesel on February 16, and by Rs 3.18 per litre in petrol and Rs 3.09 a litre in diesel on March 1. After these, rates had been cut twice.

State-owned fuel retailers IOC, Bharat Petroleum Corp (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corp (HPCL) revise petrol and diesel prices on 1st and 16th of every month based on average imported cost and rupee-dollar exchange rate in the previous fortnight.

"The movement of prices in international oil market and Rupee-USD exchange rate shall continue to be closely monitored and developing trends of the market will be reflected in future price changes," IOC said.

Even though the prices of fuel, which India is burdened the most, are down drastically the inflation rate has relentlessly gone up though some claim it is going down citing some data!! Price of even poor peoples food like dal has again shot up by 25% recently, forget about other commodities!! Price for a small lime (used to make a glass of sherbet) has gone to an all time record high of 5 bucks!! How can even the middle class law abiding people survive, forget the poor who are destined to die!!

Over and above that there are regular increases in transport fares, utility supplies, medicines, docs fees, children's education and all over!! Unless somebody has access to easy money or for those having cushy jobs abroad it is very very difficult to survive, for a common man, in today's inflation!! Jai Hind!!

Jossy, India gave aid to Nepal only because China and its proxy friend Pakistan, are giving a bigger aid to Nepal in total. It is all about jostling for power and position in South Asia and the Nepalese politicians are playing both countries for more aid. India had already lost on big infrastructure deals in Sri Lanka, because the lankans gave the whole contract including developing ports, highways etc. not to our Adani group but to a large chinese conglomerate, and india does not want to do the same mistake with Nepal when it comes to building their nation after the earthquake...it is all about generating business!

This is India..and our Inflation can tame-down in just few months!!! from peak....so why not when International crude prices are all time low of almost down to 60% less than they were before 8 to 10 months approximately and we are increasing the govt. duty or levies!!! rather than passing the benefit to consumers!!!. The Acche Din Of...... Agli Baar Kiska Sarkar?????

Ideally these days in spite of adding the refining and overheads cost for the crude we import(a marginal increase in crude prices in international market and rupee is losing to dollar these days!!)But BJP has promised before the general elections to bring down the Dollar to Rs.40/- in their wildest dreams and that can't happen in real life for sure...... and after adding the government duties today the petrol market price should have been somewhere below Rs.50/- a liter.

A Modi sarkar sirf waada karne wala sarkar!!!. Unka dictionary me waada nibhaane ka word ho gaya power me aane ke baad!!!.

....count on ....Inclusive Growth, Divisive Politics, Minimum Government and Maximum Government, Infrastructure,Industrial Growth in all sectors, and last but not the least...Ram Temple, Black Money Wapas...and How Many Lakhs in every Indian's account(Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojna Account....Only to open..at the "Cost of Nationalized Banks" and there is no money to credit!!!)

Added to the common man's or poor Indian farmers nightmares.."The comedy of Great Indian Drama of the Land Acquisition Bill" (which has recently taken a back seat after Mr. Rahul Gandi took the great NAMO Head On in the Parliament in spite of not taking any responsibility being an M.P for the the last 10 years of tenure but done substantially answering with "Rejuvenated Vigor and Courage" to face the truth and answer directly his Opponent's Criticism in just less than 10 days of time!!. Interesting!!! What a change and NAMO is hiding now from RAGA and Jaitley(Aam ka Gootley - the most shrewd lawyer of BJP after Jethmalani's!!

In spite of heavy fuel costs and steep increase in the volume of vehicles on roads, the public still climb tops, stand inside and hang outside to commute.
Our pride and competition is the cause for the miserable situation.
Our blindness and negligence is the reason for sufferings.
Complaints and blame game never end but the need is to think different and implement change.

    What is our best choice?

Is it expensive fuel to get air pollution and sound pollution, disturbing society, burning economy and polluted environment?

    OR

Free and abundant gravity force and massive dead weight on wheels to get free energy for the elimination of pollutions, peaceful society, stable economy and clean environment, adequate and cheap transport facilities for the convenient movement of commuters and goods?

The solution is in our hands.

Fuel pricing is a very complicated phenomenon. Lot of factors are involved in the process. I know it would be very early to start blaming the government but I'm afraid the central government has got their methods/measures entirely wrong when it comes to price management. When the global prices were down there was just little relief in India and now when the prices are rising the Indian government is following the hike. If this continues it would be really difficult because global prices are expected to rise steeply soon. People can definitely not afford fuel if this mismanagement goes on.
