'Queen' and 'Kick' regally thrust behind by 'Haider' at IIFA technical awards

Mumbai, Apr 23: Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and inspired by Shakespeare's most famous tragedy of Hamlet, Haider has swept up most of the awards in the technical category at IIFA, this time round.

The awards that the movie has already got in its kitty are Best Background Score, Sound Mixing - Debajit Changmai, Sound Design - Shajith Koyeri, Production Design - Subrata Chakraborty and Amit Ray, Make-up - Preetisheel Singh and Clover Wootton.

Queen won the awards for best screenplay - Vikas Bahl, Chaitally Parmar, Parveez Shaikh and best editing - Anurag Kashyap and Abhijit Kokate, while Kick won for best choreography (Ahmed Khan) and best special visual effects - Reupal Rawal.

The song recording award went to Eric Pillai for 'Ek Villain' and 'PK' starring Aamir Khan got the award for Best Dialogue. Abhijit Joshi and Rajkumar Irani are named for the award. Bang Bang which had Hrithik Roshan pulling the kicks and punchs got the award for Best stunts and 2 States won for Best Cinematography.

The main award ceremony is scheduled to be held on the 7th of June, with the technical awards being held on the 5th of June at Kuala Lampur, Malaysia.
