Priyanka Chopra's 'Mary Kom' wins Bronshästen Award at Stockholm

Mumbai, Apr 21: Priyanka Chopra's bopic on India's Olympic level Boxing champion Mary Kom won the Bronshästen (Bornze Horse)Junior Award, which is the highest award, at the Stockholm Film Festival, held in Sweden. The Bronze Horse Award is awarded to films that are voted as the best by a jury . In this case it was jury that consisted of children between the ages of 9 - 17 years.

Portraying the life and struggles of 5 time world champion and Olympic medal winner Mary Kom, the movie 's director Omung Kumar said that it would also be screened at the Indian Film Festival, to be held in Sweden next month. The movie screening at the Indian Film Festival is by the Indian Embassy in Sweden.

The movie had previously been welcomed warmly by audiences everywhere and had also bagged awards in various film festivals including awards for Priyanka Chopra at the Filmfare awards, BIG Star Entertainment Awards, International Indian Film Academy Awards, Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards India and the Screen Awards among others.
