Yemenis take to streets against Saudi-led invasion

Sanaa, April 1 (IANS): People in Yemen on Wednesday took to the streets to condemn the Saudi-led invasion of their country and voice their support for resistance.

Yemeni protestors chanted slogans against the Saudi regime in Bab al-Yemen district of the capital, Sanaa, in favour of Houthi movement's Ansarullah revolutionaries, Press TV reported.

Similar demonstrations were held in Yemen's cities of Taiz and Amran with protestors calling for the boycott of goods made by countries engaged in the Saudi-led aggression.

Protestors also chanted slogans against the US, Israel, and the Saudi regime describing Riyadh as an ally of Israel, which is implementing a US-Israeli agenda.

Calling for popular mobilisation against the Saudi aggression, the protestors also condemned international silence over Saudi crimes in their country.

They also sought an international probe into the "unauthorised aggression".
