Missing Indan-origin boy with rare medical condition found

London, April 1 (IANS): A missing 10-year-old Indian-origin boy with a rare medical condition was found in southern England by an off-duty police officer.

A major search was launched on Tuesday morning after Malakhi Chijiutomi-Ghosh, who suffers from adrenal hyperplasia and requires medication three times a day, disappeared, Mirror online reported.

The youngster was seen on CCTV footage in Thornton Heath High Street in south London near the train station.

On Tuesday afternoon, police found him in Hertfordshire.

"Malakhi Chijiutomi-Ghosh has been found this afternoon by an off-duty police officer in Hertfordshire," a police spokesman said.

"He has been taken to hospital as a precautionary measure."

Police were worried because Malakhi vanished without a mobile phone or with any money.

Due to his medical condition, it was possible he may have slipped into a coma without treatment.
