Ghaziabad civic corporation passes Rs.1,054 crore budget


Ghaziabad, March 25 (IANS): The Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation passed a budget of Rs.1,054 crore for the financial year 2015-16 at its executive meeting held at the municipal office on Wednesday, an official said.

Providing details, municipal commissioner Abdul Samad said the total income in the coming year is estimated to be Rs.606 crore and the expenditure is estimated to be Rs.448 crore.

Rs.75 crore has been kept on reserve while an income of Rs.117 crore is estimated from the revenue department, Rs.40 crore from renting, Rs.20 crore from parking, Rs.134 crore from stamp duty and Rs.134 crore is expected as aid from the state finance commission.

The major expenditure would be on beautification and re-developing ponds, developmental activities in wards, road and tube-well construction, electricity bills and developing parks in the city.
