Mumbai, Mar 19: Gulshan Devaiah whose soon to be released movie about a sex addict is going to release on March 20, revealed that their team was always going for the adult (A) certificate given the context of their story. The actor also said that he wouldn't want to compartmentalise his movie as a sex comedy because it isn't one but instead is about an ordinary boy coming of age and facing the quirks of his inherent nature.

About the censor board's approach to the movie, the 36 year old, said that, "We didn’t have any problem with the Censor Board as we were always going for the A certificate. It made perfect sense to us because of the theme of Hunterrr. It’s about Mandar Ponkshe’s sexual journey. Harshwardhan Kulkarni (director of the film) said, ‘I am my own censor’ and he was very practical about his approach.”

The adult content of the film, the actor claims was approached very pragmatically by the director Harshwardhan Kulkarni. The villain from Goliyon ki Rasleela - Ramleela also said that “There are no titillating jokes, there’s no sexual innuendos or below-the-belt remarks or some gaali galoch (abusive language, cuss words) just for the sake of it.”

The actor also said that, “I have never lived a life like Mandar. He overcomes his fear in order to become a stud. He is not a bad guy though he does all sorts of weird things. I am happy that there is a lot of positivity around the film.”

Finally, in this his seventh film, the actor reveals that the three repeated 'r's in the title signify the three main women that Mandar Ponkshe (Gulshan's character) dallies with. He clarifies,"Though the film is about the numbers of women in Mandar Ponkshe’s life, but three of them are important and their stories are featured prominently. Also because our producer Vikas Bahl tries everything thrice.”
