Modi condemns attack in Tunisia


New Delhi, March 18 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday condemned the attack in Tunisia in which 19 people, including 17 tourists, were killed.

"Attack in Tunisia is appalling and condemnable. We stand firmly with the people of Tunisia in this hour of grief and pray normalcy returns soon," the prime minister said in a statement.

Five "terrorists" carried out the attack on Bardo Museum, and two of them were killed by security forces, according to Xinhua. A Tunisian citizen and a policeman were also killed in the attack.
