One Direction band members may undergo drug test


Los Angeles, March 14 (IANS): Singers Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik of the "One Direction" band may be forced to undergo a drug test before their performance in the Philippines.

The group are due to play for two days at the Asia Concert Grounds starting on March 21 as part of their "On The Road Again tour".

Laban ng Pamilyang Pilipino, a local organisation, has petitioned the Philippine government's Bureau of Immigration asking that the band members be tested, reports mirror.co.uk.

The organisation have used a photograph of Zayn smoking cannabis during a trip to Peru last summer that was captioned as "No drug test, no entry".

Malik was also blamed for missing out on work commitments in the US. due to substance abuse.

The singer was also very ill to appear on a hosted by Matt Lauer who asked his four bandmates: "There have been rumours of substance abuse, what's going on?"

The One Direction singer was left outraged with all the accusation that were charged on him.
