Puttur, Feb 7: Six out of 33 people who had been arrested during the recent violence here were granted bail.
Dinesh, Narayan, Prashant, Nitin and Mohan had been arrested for preventing the police from discharging their duties during the violence. The accused are presently in Bellary jail.
It may be recalled that violence had hit the region following police lathi charge during the Shanti Puja on Saturday February 3.
In the meantime, the search is on for other accused, including Sri Ram Sene convener Arunkumar Puttila.
