Mangalore, Feb 7: It was only a few days ago that Kingfisher Airbus 321 had landed at Bajpe airport for the first time.  Now the airport is all set witness another first.  Indian Airlines Airbus 320 will make its maiden landing at Bajpe airport on Wednesday February 7 morning.

Speaking to Daijiworld airport director M R Vasudev said that so far Indian Airlines was flying only Boeing planes to Mangalore sector while Kingfisher had started flying Airbus 320 a few months ago. Kingfisher had also introduced airbus 321, the biggest passenger flight in the country to Bajpe airport in the last week.

"Owing to continued competition from private companies and with a view of providing best of services Indian Airlines is handling airbus 320 to Mangalore sector.  Indian Airlines airbus 320 can accommodate 146 passengers," said M R Vasudev.
