Udupi, Feb 7: A delegation of young people from Arunachal Pradesh, as part of the inter-state youth exchange programme, is on a tour of the district.
The youth exchange programme has been organised by Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (Sriperumbudur) and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghatan.
The team members, dressed in traditional outfits representing their state, visited the Sri Krishna Temple here on Tuesday February 5.
On Sunday February 4, they visited the Attur Church and Brahmastana in Padubidri. They also had the opportunity to watch ‘Bhoota Kola.’
Talking to media persons, leader of the delegation Karbom Ori expressed the team’s delight over touring the district and said that they had even learnt a bit of Yakshagana which they will showcase back in their state.
On Wednesday, the delegation will participate in a traditional wedding ceremony at Hejmady.
