Udupi, Feb 7: A workshop on ‘Beneficial Aspects of Nuclear Radiation’ was organised by MGM College here on Monday February 5.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr M C Abani, former head of radiation safety systems divisions, BARC, stressed on the need to create awareness on the positive aspects of nuclear energy and realise the extent to which nuclear radiation has been used in field of medicine and power.
K K Pai, registrar, Dr T M A Pai Foundation, presided over the programme.
Among those present were Dr Jayaprakash Mavinakuli, principal of the college and Prof Kusum Kamath K, head of the department of Physics.
