Mangalore, Feb 5: The regional meet of the Lions Club was held at T V Raman Pai Convention Centre here on Sunday February 5.
Speaking on the occasion, Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) associate vice-president A G Pai lamented that the district was not using the water resources to their full potential.
He said that though the river Netravati has abundant water both in terms of quality and quantity, the citizens had failed to make good use of the same and hence the district has had to face water shortage.
Shobha S Kamath inaugurated the programme while regional president P Surendra Kamath presided.
Among those present was renowned magician Prof Manjunath Hirenath.
