Mangaluru, Mar 9: The foundation stone laying and launching ceremonies for 'Eve Anna Homes' luxury apartments, a project by Nirmaan Homes, located behind Infosys at Kottara here, were held on Monday March 9.
Krishnaraj Mayya and Bhaskar Gadiyar of Nirmaan Homes, promoters of Eva Anna Homes extended a floral welcome to the guests.
Fr Peter D'souza, parish priest of Derebail Church blessed the occasion.
The project was formally launched by all the dignitaries on the dais by lighting of the lamp and unveiling of the brochure.
Krishna J Palemar, former minister said, "This project should be a model for others. Profit maximization should not be the main aim of any developer. Instead, the quality of the project should be the priority. Some builders from other states have entered Mangaluru and cheated the land owners as well as the customers. Because of that, today builders are targeted in every possible way. People have a notion that builders have lot of money, which is wrong. Government should help the builders in their mission of building homes."
Anand K, associate vice-president of Udayavani said, "The promoters have chosen the right place as it is just a few meters away from the main road. People prefer not only a good home but a peaceful home as well, and this place offers it. People these days prefer an apartment to an independent house because of the many amenities."
Rajneesh, corporator said, "Krishnaraj Mayya had complained to us regarding dumping of waste in the vicinity two months back. But today as a result of MCC's waste management project, this place is neat and clean. This is the change waste management has bought in the city."
