Beltangady, Feb 3:
The ongoing Mahamastakabhisheka, which was supposed to end on Saturday February 3, has been extended in accordance with the request from devotees.

The statue of Bahubali will be anointed once more on Sunday February 4 with 1008 kalashas.

The day began with a procession in which the 'Agrodhaka' was carried to Ratnagiri from Beedu. The Bahubali statue was also anointed together with throwing of gold and silver coins.

Among those present were Acharya Shri 108 Vardhamaan Sagar Munimaharaaj, Shree Vidhya Vallabha Teertha Swamiji of Kanitur Math,  Yenepoya Group chairman Yenopoya Abdullla Kunni, and Dr Heggade and his family.
