Telangana inks MoU to develop eco-system for aviation, defence


Hyderabad, Feb 20 (IANS): The Telangana government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the ADS Group of Britain for cooperation and development of eco-system for aviation and defence sectors.

The MoU was signed in Bengaluru during the Aero India 2015.

ADS represents aerospace, defence and security industries in Britain.

Telangana's Industries Minister J. Krishna Rao had a series of meetings with leading global companies and urged them to prefer his state for their investments.

He met executives of Airbus, SAFRAN Aerospace Company, Axis Code and others.

He also had a meeting with officials of the French consulate and Tata Aviation, said an official release here.

Krishna Rao addressed a seminar organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on "Empowering and incentivising Indian MSMEs in defence and aerospace sector".
