Mangalore, Jan 19: The protestors against the Nagarjuna Power Project including former minister Vasanth Salian have decided to intercept the deputy chief minister B S Yediyurappa and BJP president D V Sadanand Gowda on their visit to the district on Friday January 19.

Addressing the gathering on the 28th day of the strike against the power plant on Thursday January 18, Salian said that he along with other protestors will ask the minister and the BJP president to clarify their stands on the issue and also enlighten them of the concerns regarding the project.

Despite the chief minister’s orders to halt the works on the project for a week, works reportedly continued on Thursday January 18 at Ellur and Kolachurguthu villages.

MP Manorama Madhwaraj, along with Vasanth Salian and Nandikur Janajagruthi Samiti president Lakshman Shetty visited the spot for inspection.
