Mangalore, Jan 16: Thieves who camped for one day in a house here have taken away with gold and other valuables.

 

Jayachandra a railway employee who was residing in the Railway Quarters here left to his home town on January 9 only to return on Jan 16 and find his house in a mess.

On Tuesday when he entered his house, a major shock empowered him. All the items in the house were helter-skelter.

The thieves gained entry into the locked house from the roof searched for valuables at their ease. They even cooked in his house and are said to have stayed overnight.

According to police sources, 30 sovereigns of gold and other valuables have been stolen. A complaint was lodged in Pandeshwar police station.

Speaking to Daijiworld Jayachandra said that the gold was made for his sisters wedding. However on Jan 9, he forgot to take it to his home town.
