Mumbai: NPCC Engineering celebrates 8th anniversary in style

Mumbai, Feb 12: NPCC Engineering Pvt Limited (NEL), Mumbai celebrated its 8th anniversary with a splendid event at JW Marriott Hotel here recently.

NPCC Engineering Pvt Limited is a joint venture between National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC), Abu Dhabi state owned enterprise and Arcadia Shipping Limited (ASL), Mumbai, which was established in Feb 2007 under the Indian Companies Act.

NPCC, Abu Dhabi is a world class EPC company providing total EPC solutions to oil and gas sector operating in Gulf region and Indian continent for the last 42 years. NPCC has undertaken and successfully completed many mega EPC projects for various clients in the Gulf region and in Indian continent. NPCC also undertaken prestigious projects for government of India undertakings ONGC, EIL, MDL besides LandT, Afcons, Enron etc. during the last 3 decades.

In order to have a strong and continuous presence in India, NPCC set up an engineering firm by the name NPCC Engineering Limited (NEL) in February 2007 as a joint venture company under Indian laws jointly with Arcadia Shipping Limited, a leading ship owners and operators in India who have been the long term associates of NPCC.

During the short period of 8 years, NEL has established itself as a renowned and dependable design and engineering agency for providing design and engineering services for WellHead Platforms, Subsea Pipelines, Subsea cables, Subsea Telecommunication Towers and Topside Modification works on WellHead and Process Platforms.

NEL has accomplished many of these engineering projects for various EPC contractors in India and also Gulf region besides supporting NPCC Abu Dhabi for their EPC projects. It has earned a niche for itself as a design engineering contractor of international repute by having a strong team of around 250 well experienced engineers. NEL is continuing the process of absorbing more such talents keeping in mind further growth of this company. In this direction company has created a world class state of art facilities and occupied much bigger premises located at Sahar Plaza Complex at Andheri (E), Mumbai.

To mark its 8th anniversary, NEL had convened a get-together of the industry across the oil and gas sector including its various clients and business associates on February 6 at JW Marriott Hotel near Sahar International Airport and on this occasion NEL launched its new logo to reflect its brand identity in line with its parent company NPCC, Abu Dhabi.

Aqeel A Madhi, CEO of NPCC, Abu Dhabi and chairman NEL addressed the gathering of senior industry professionals. He highlighted the achievement of NEL and its dynamic growth during the short span of 8 years. Madhi also mentioned about future plans of further growth of NEL including intention of acquisition of satellite engineering companies at different locations.
Mukesh Shah, vice chairman, congratulated NEL for its meteoric progress and earning a niche in the local and international markets.

Oussama Takieddine, MD, conveyed that NEL is now extremely busy with various design and engineering contracts for next few years, and the company is looking for further expanding its strength and capacity with experienced engineers and designers, for the projects in hand. Plans are on the anvil to have larger pool of Design Engineers of different discipline, for which a recruitment process is in place.

Besides, NEL’s other board of directors Shaffique Al Dhiyebi, Mabkhoot Menhali, Abdul Bari Al Ameri, Vinit N Shah and M G Karkera also graced the function. The said function was well attended by the senior officials from various companies in the oil and gas sector, clients including ONGC and others.
