Kejriwal asks AAP cadres not to become arrogant by poll win, thanks wife for support

New Delhi, Feb 10 (PTI) : Saluting the people of Delhi for doing a "wonder" in Delhi elections by giving them a landslide victory, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal today asked party workers not to get carried away by the mandate and not become "arrogant".

Saluting the people of Delhi for doing a "wonder" in Delhi elections by giving them a landslide victory, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal today asked party workers not to get carried away by the mandate and not become "arrogant".

"You have done a wonder. When you are on the path of truth, all the forces of universe come together to help you. I salute the people of Delhi. It's a victory of truth," the 46-year-old former Delhi Chief Minister said in his first reaction to the Delhi poll outcome.

The party is on course to make history as it was ahead in 66 seats out of 70 in the Delhi Assembly. "I would like to urge all of you not to be arrogant. Otherwise we will meet the same fate five years down the line.
We have to serve people of Delhi as they have given such a massive mandate to us and we are grateful to them," Kejriwal told the cheering crowd of supporters.

Thanking his wife, who was standing next to him on the terrace of three-storeyed party office, Kejriwal said the victory would not have been possible without her constant support and understanding. "She never comes in the picture but she is always there.

It would not have been possible for me to achieve anything if she was not there," he said. The AAP chief also thanked his parents for supporting him. Ashutosh, standing besides Kejriwal, said the mandate was the beginning of a new kind of revolutionary politics in the country.

    Congratulation to Mr. Kejriwal.
    As the insulting word Kujliwal is hounding BJP and all of them will be scratching their head with kujli.
    BJP was fortunate to get 3 seats and some vote share by from the notion of section of people of Delhi that Modi wave is still active. The same miscalculation done by Ilmi and Kiran Bedi.
    It is a win against arrogance & Fekugiri. If BJP did not learn lesson out of that is good for other parties in future.

    The vote share in delhi:

    AAP = 54.3%
    BJP = 32.2%,
    Cong = 9.7%
    BSP = 1.3%

    its congress voteshare has eroded and bjp's voteshare is intact like last time.
    so bjp has full cjance of bounceback and it also tells that people have faith
    in bjp but they have taught them a lesson what will happen if they ignore
    poor and lower middle class concerns.

    Sunil, what you said is true and have analyzed that:

    1. All the voters and parties realized that splitting votes is detrimental for their collective interest and survival.
    2. Are constantly checking, how to make a winning combination in all future elections.
    3. AAP has been able take 1% vote share of BJP. More or less BJP vote share is intact.
    4. In future, efforts are put in place to prevent vote splitting completely.

    that will never happen bcoz
    every politcal party except bjp whether rjd,sp,jdu,jds,shivsena,akali dal,nc,pdp,tmc,tdp,trs,dmk,aidamk and many more are here to enjoy power and money and to devolop thier dynasty so that thier own clan are kings forever.

    now they may have feared but they are not ready to fight as single entity as by doing that thier individual charisma and thier family charisma will be vanished forever.

    for these parties becoming kings(pm or cm) is more important than becoming ministers.they never want to share power and even if they want they want to share in thier own family.

    Hindi speaking Delhi voters may have been offended by Modi's haughty claims that the opinion polls were the work of “bazaru” pollsters. They surely know what a derogatory phrase 'bazaru' means and this reflects the cheapness of Modi and also is a give-away of the man’s real image the refined picture of himself that he bandied about was just a façade crafted to conceal the face of a man whose political career was built on the blood of innocents.
    Modi’s harangue, empty promises and perhaps even his (foreign made in contrast to his motto 'make in India') Rs 10 lakh 'bandh gala' suit with his monogrammed name woven into the fabric might have cost his party 10 lakh votes. In the campaign for Delhi, Modi’s speeches were no more than rants and he seemed to have run out of ammunition as he did't have a clue what AAP was upto!
