Sunny day in Delhi, light rain expected Sunday


New Delhi, Feb 7 (IANS): The national capital witnessed another sunny and pleasant day Saturday as the maximum temperatures settled three notches above the season's average at 25.6 degrees Celsius. Sunday morning will see light fog and there is possibility of some rain in the afternoon.

"There will be light fog early morning tomorrow (Sunday) and in the afternoon, light rain might occur in some parts of the city," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

The minimum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 25 and 8 degrees Celsius.

Saturday morning saw light mist and the visibility at 8.30 a.m. was 600 metres, affecting movement of trains.

According to the Northern Railway, nine trains were delayed.

The minimum temperature settled a notch below the season's average at 7.4 degrees Celsius.

The day's maximum humidity was recorded at 97 percent.

Friday's minimum temperature settled a notch below the season's average at 7 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature settled two notches above the season's average at 24.5 degrees.
