Pakistan resorts to unprovoked firing along border in Jammu


Jammu, Feb 5 (IANS): Pakistan Rangers Thursday resorted to unprovoked firing at a Border Security Force (BSF) outpost along the border in Jammu and Kashmir, an officer said here.

The firing took place at 10.35 a.m., a police officer told IANS.

"Pakistan Rangers fired a few rounds from automatic weapons at Abdullian BSF outpost in R.S. Pura sector when BSF troops were carrying out some repair work at the post," he said.

The BSF did not retaliate but stopped the repair work as a precautionary measure, the officer said.
