India-Sri Lanka bonds unbreakable: Modi


New Delhi, Feb 4 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi Wednesday greeted Sri Lankans on their country's 67th independence day, saying the bonds of history and culture between the two countries were "unbreakable".

"My greetings to the people of Sri Lanka. The bonds of history, culture and shared values that we share are unbreakable," Modi said.

"My best wishes for the development of Sri Lanka in the years to come. I look forward to welcoming President (Maithripala) Sirisena later this month," he added.
