10 criminal cases against Arvind Kejriwal: ADR

New Delhi, Jan 31 (PTI): The election watchdog ADR on Friday said Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal has 10 criminal cases against him.

The Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR), on the basis of its analysis of the affidavits of 673 candidates in fray for February 7 Delhi assembly polls, pointed out that Congress leader Shoib Iqbal, contesting from Matia Mahal has maximum criminal cases against him.

Iqbal is followed by AAP leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Gulab Singh who have 10 criminal cases each against them.

While Kejriwal is seeking re-election from high-profile New Delhi constituency, Singh is contesting from Matiala.

They are closely followed by Shiromani Akali Dal's Manjinder Singh Sirsa who is also the richest candidate in fray and has declared 9 criminal cases against himself.

Congress candidate Asif Mohd Khan, who is contesting from Okhla constituency, has declared 7 criminal cases while AAP's Manish Sisodia has 6.

"Arvind Kejriwal has declared in his affidavit that he has 47 charges against him including causing hurt to deter public servant from duty, disobedience to order promulgated by public servant, rioting and defamation, among others. Out of these, cognizance has been taken in seven cases and charges have been framed in one case," Jagdeep Chhokar, founder-member, ADR, said at a press conference here.

ADR has pointed out in its report that as many as 114 out of 673 candidates in poll fray have criminal cases against them and 19 out of 70 were 'red alert' constituencies which had at least three tainted candidates each.

    Delhi election definitely a lesson to bjp criminals. No modino bedi or amitt - this time most of the Delhians will kck out all corrupt and criminal groups and they will elect AAP to form government.

    For ongoing all criminal activity including in mangalore are with the suppor tof rss.Subject tosituation they plnning their dirty criminal activity. In Delhi they files criminal case against Arving Kejriwal, in Mangalore they omitt communal speech adn activity. In Kerala and Bengal they tring ti inginite withnsome other tractic which we all aware and watching. One famous TV channel also started to omit anti religion news and always praise modi and group and never telecast fare and clear news.
    Over all it is the power of black money and behind money policy.
    To loot our nations property.

    ..How can anybody say, his nonsense Dharnas are not criminal act..how can anybody say he didn't loot the nation..his scores of Dharnas caused public nuisance, almost three days metro rail was in jeopardy,no Govt works, almost 49 days whole Delhi in chaos..do anybody have any idea how much it cost the pubclic exchequer!..loss may ran into several hundred crores..its not less than looting nation or causing loss to public in the name of Bundh call by other parties..how can AAP OR KEJRI is different then..sad part is still he maintains that he will do dharna even if he elected CM..this pessimist full of negative energy..he will push Delhi once again to chaos..

    Hardcore criminals have no criminal cases against them.What a ARD's findings, better to learn meaning of a criminal case and a civil case. All in all, in Indian politics, all are criminals and where will you find criminal cases against them. Only during election time agencies come out with ranking of criminals depending upon the parties favourism. What a shame !

    .AAP is no more AAM..they are at par with Congress/BJP..As per ADR on an average AAP candidates this time are more than twice as rich as they were in December 2013. Average assets per candidate in the Congress has declined from Rs. 14.25 crore to Rs. 9.60 crores, in the BJP from Rs. 8.29 crore to Rs. 7.96 crores. But in the AAP it grew from Rs. 2.49 crore to rs 5.89 crore!!!!. AAP which owes its birth to a campaign for clean politics - matches its rivals on candidates with criminal cases..Kejriwall presented/accepted crown,sword same as Congress/BJP..yesterday he was showered flowers through drones!!..AAP better not to fool people sayinG they are different.. they are as much as communal, they are as much as corrupt,they sold tickets same as others,they accepted candidates who are proven corrupt/criminal, they play all games of politics par with Congress/BJP..there is no AAM left within AAP..

    Irony is that real hard core criminals with financial and muscle power might, are not charged with cases for lack of witnesses.
    They are moving with truck loads of security.
    Whereas humble common man Arvind Kejriwal like person, who is moving freely among public, whom public is throwing sandles, eggs and tomatoes to show their dissent in some issues is branded as criminals by vested interest.
    This is real conspiracy by power hungry, who want to ruin future of a noble leader benefiting the nation.
