Pakistani political party alleges extra-judicial killing

Islamabad, Jan 27 (IANS): Pakistan's Muttahida Qaumi Movement's (MQM) Rabita committee or central coordination committee Tuesday said party workers were being tortured, killed, and their bodies dumped, media reported.

The committee said that as many as 35 workers have been killed extra-judicially while dozens of others remained missing, Geo News reported.

Activist Syed Faraz Alam was killed in police custody for not giving bribe money, it said.

The MQM is overall the fourth largest party in the National Assembly of Pakistan and the second largest party in Sindh with 37 out of 130 seats.
