Pakistan court said TTP chief proclaimed offender


Islamabad, Jan 15 (IANS): A Pakistani Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Karachi Thursday declared Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief Mullah Fazlullah as a proclaimed offender in the Karachi airport attack case.

ATC declared Fazlullah and TTP spokesperson Shahidullah Shahid as proclaimed offenders in last year's attack, The News International reported

Three detainees -- Sarmad Siddiqui, Nadeem alias Burger and Asif Zaheer -- who are being tried in this case, were presented in court during the resumption of hearing.

All three suspects have been accused of being involved in the attack on Quaid-i-Azam International Airport in Karachi June 8, last year.

The ATC adjourned the hearing of the case till Jan 29.

As many as 28 people, including personnel of the Airport Security Force (ASF) and 10 foreign militants, were killed in the attack, for which TTP and the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (UMI) had claimed responsibility.
